Addison had the chance to play Mini-Golf for the first time. She had a great time until the last hole kept her ball. She was quite distressed! She also went to her first Minor League Baseball game. We saw the Myrtle Beach Pelicans play and had a blast! ROAST BEEF!!! Defense Donuts!!!!

Addison has recently learned to sleep in her big girl bed! Other than that, Addison really enjoys playing dress up. Below you will find pictures or her dressed as Winnie the Pooh, Minnie Mouse (without the shirt), and in her hodge-podge of mismatched clothing. She has also started taking her clothes off whenever she wants and where ever she is. Any ideas on how to stop this?

This is what Addison was doing as I was packing for our beach vacation. She decided to dress herself! Now I put the tutu on her because she pitch a huge fit. But she did the shoes. Crazy girl!

This same day, we went to church to celebrate the week we had at VBS. She had a great time playing in the water.

Now we are on our way to the beach and Addison is playing with her "jewelry".

Mommy gave her a cookie to enjoy. She took the cookie apart and ate the icing then ditched the cookie.

This was Addison's first time on the beach since last year. She was less than happy. Little did we know that she didn't like the sand or the water!!! Not a good combination when you are at the beach for 2 weeks.

NEMO

We went to the Disney Store so Addison could have her very own Nemo toy. When we arrived, I gave her a Nemo and told her to pick another friend to take home, since they were running a sale on the stuffed characters. She really wanted two Nemo's, but mean Mommy wouldn't buy two Nemo's. After careful consideration of the other characters, Addison finally chose something else. Five minutes later, Minnie Mouse became her second best friend.

When I put her to bed tonight, She only had Pink Bear and Ca with her. A few minutes after I left the room, she decided she wanted Nemo as well. So, I gave her Nemo. Immediately after I gave her Nemo, she decided she wanted Minnie Mouse, too. So, once again, she got what she asked for. I guess she figured she was on a roll and might as well go all out, so she asked for her paci. Now, she LOVES her paci, except for the fact that she isn't allowed to have her paci anymore- mean Mommy again. I just laughed and told her no paci and she went to sleep. Hey, when you get everything you ask for, you might as well ask for anything! Atleast I said no to one item!

Addison helped Mommy decorate Daddy's Father's Day cake on Saturday night. She loves cake and when she saw what we were about to do, she flipped! If you look at her right hand, you'll see a cupcake. I had one cupcake sitting off to the side and Addison thought she should eat it. As I was taking pictures, I noticed that I got some frosting on the camera. So as I went to get something to clean it off, Addison decided to take the tube frosting and taste it. She was a little wired that night, but Daddy was so happy to see his cupcakes and cake, as well as the decorating pictures.

We went to the zoo today and had a lot of fun! Addison loves animals and knows most animal names. But she wasn't too sure when she saw them in person. The first animal we saw was the elephant and she was alittle scared. She eventually relaxed and enjoyed her day. Her favorite animals of the day were the DUCKS! Imagine that! We could have gone down the street to find ducks!

This is a very rare occurance for us, but the other day Addison was asleep when we arrived at the grocery store so I just carried her in and laid her in her floppy seat. Then she slept the entire time I was in the store!!! WOW! How amazing is that!?! This is the child that rarely goes to sleep in the car and if she does, is awake as soon as we stop moving. I was so glad because I was able to shop in peace. =)

We were visiting with family and went to a water park this weekend. Addison had such a good time! The water was absolutely freezing, but I was the only one who noticed. I also got Addison her very own potty yesterday because she has been showing interest in the potty. She kept saying potty after we came in from playing in the water and since she had nothing on, I told her to go ahead and potty, and she did! She actually went potty in her own potty two different times yesterday. I was shocked and excited!!

First Haircut

Addison had her very first haircut yesterday! I had to convince Daddy to let me cut it. She didn't have much hair to cut, but it was just hanging down her neck. I ended up cutting an inch off! If she had curly hair on the ends like some children, I wouldn't have cut it. But since she was cursed with Mommy's straight hair I had no choice. She's still a cutie! The first picture is Addison being bribbed with a cookie so I could cut her hair. The second picture was taken after the haircut. I think it looks a lot better. Maybe it will grow faster now! Not sure who taught her the sign she is displaying in the second picture. Must have learned it from Dallas. =)

Addison was painting this afternoon after a busy day. She can climb out of the pack and play at the sitters house and today she actually managed to lock the door to the bedroom where everyone was napping. She has locked herself in her bedroom at home before and I didn't think to tell the sitter her new trick. But she found out today when Addison locked all the children in the room! Luckily, Marcia was able to unlock the door fairly quickly before Addison did too much damage. So we decided to take it easy and paint this afternoon. She looks so sweet and innocent! Addison and Abbi were cuddling on the couch with sick Mommy last night. Suddenly, Addison became bored and decided to play with Abbi. She was hugging Abbi, giving her kisses, pointing to her ears, eyes, and mouth, etc. Then Addison decided to give Abbi some juice to drink. It freaked Abbi out a little, but it was funny. Also, this is not on camera or video, but Addison went to Abbi the other night, picked up her front paws, and started playing patty cake with her!!! Nana got to witness this and said it was adorable!

This week it was my turn to be sick. Addison and I both have not been well the entire month of April and May is beginning the same way. Since I'm feeling better for the moment and Addison is asleep, I thought I would post before Dallas got on to me again. =)

Addison and I were playing with bubbles the other day because she just loves bubbles. The Easter Bunny brought her a toy hippo that blows bubbles when you press a button and it is much easier than using the wand. However, Addison wanted to blow bubbles all by herself the old fashion way. She never actually blew a bubble, but she had fun and that's all that matters.

Do you see the look? She's gotten really good at it lately.

We went to visit Addison's Great Grandparents today. She had so much fun playing with them and her two cousins. In the first picture, you can see the boo-boo next to her right eye. Last week she ran her toy car into the desk at the babysitters house.

I included this picture because I wanted you to see the cute little elephant on her shirt. Now why would I buy her an outfit with an elephant shirt???

Here, she is playing with her Aunt Melanie's slinky. Luckily, she didn't break this one. =) She's actually running away from me because she knew I was about to take the slinky away. I really thought she would break it since she had it stretched to fit around her waist.

And this picture is absolutely priceless. What a 'tude! She was walking around playing with her cousins cellphone- and not letting him get near her or it. She kept putting the phone to her ear to talk to different people. When I took this picture, I just know she was looking at me saying, "What Mom???!!!"

This first picture is Addison's hair after she put peach juice in it during dinner one night. The next few are of her playing outside with sidewalk chalk. Another new toy Addison received for Christmas. It has all kinds of tricks! There is a mirror, a musical side (although she lost the drum stick because she was hitting everything and everyone with it), a place to put block shapes into, a chalk board, and a fun board at the top for the little critters to slide around. It also has wheels so she can push it around the house. She loves her new toy!

Unfortunately, she likes to chew on them. Hopefully next Christmas, she will keep them out of her mouth. She also likes to put the angel on top and hear "Away in a Manger." It's just too sweet!

Daddy took Addison to a playground today and she had the best time. He also took Abbi and she seemed to enjoy herself too. We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and we will post after the weekend. Take care!

Tutu Princess

I was cleaning and rearranging Addison's room today, to create more space for all her stuff, and she picked up the tutu and tried to put it on. After a few frustrating minutes, she finally brought the tutu to me and, in her own way, asked me to put it on her. She spent the next hour playing around the house wearing her tutu. I had to take it off so she could get in her highchair for lunch, and she was not pleased. She just loves her tutu, Dallas!

We went to visit Nana and Pop this afternoon and had a great time. Addison had such a fun time playing, until the cat showed up. Apparently she is afraid of cats! That's the picture of her crying. Of coarse, I took a picture of her crying. I wasn't trying to be mean, I thought it was cute! =)
